My passion for wellness has been evolving over many years. I spent 25 years in the corporate world climbing the ladder. I was successful, with everything I wanted, but I couldn’t help feeling that something was missing.
Although not flourishing, I was content to stay in this holding pattern until I received word that the company I worked for was closing. I had been afraid to go forward and make major changes in my life, and suddenly it was being done for me. I had a tremendous opportunity in front of me—I just had to figure out what it was!
Most of my career had been in high stress positions. I have experienced the effects of chronic stress first hand, and recognize the devastating results it can have on health and well being. Tired of being overweight, anxious, and chronically exhausted, I developed a passion for wellness and stress reduction. I studied different methods to minimize the effects of stress on a person’s overall well being. I truly believe that a person cannot function at optimal levels if stress is undermining any of the areas that combine to create a satisfying life.
After leaving the corporate world, I realized that most people just don’t have the time to focus on their own vitality. Most of the time is spent just trying to survive, let alone thrive. So many people don’t reach their own potential–don’t even reach for it.
Helping others overcome the effects of stress so they can truly focus on their health and well being, creating a flourishing existence, became my passion.
With this new focus, I earned a certification in Wellness Coaching. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of California, Irvine, as well as a certification in Spa and Hospitality Management from the same university.
Combining my years of corporate management with my coaching certification allows me to offer a unique perspective in the wellness-coaching field. I am thrilled to share that perspective with others, and help them to in their journey to live healthier, more joyful, and ultimately more satisfying life.
